So now that I’ve finally finished my second year of college and exams, I can knuckle down and get back into blogging more regularly. I’ve done a lot of fashion and street style posts recently so I thought it’d be nice to write about beauty for a change. The products I’m writing about are my current beauty favourites that I’ve been loving and using religiously!
Moroccan Oil Dry Shampoo
This is hands down the best dry shampoo I’ve ever used and I’ve used a lot. My scalp produces a ridiculous amount of oil which is kind of a nightmare as it makes my hair greasy very quickly after washing. To counter attack this I use dry shampoo because so many people swear by it but have never found that it works that well. Until now that is! I got to take this dry shampoo home with me after doing a hair show for Moroccan Oil and I am so glad I did. After using this product my hair actually feels clean and fresh again and doesn’t leave that horrible white dust on my scalp. The only downside is the price which is €19 but it is worth it and the way I see it is you can buy one bottle of this to do the job or a few bottles of the cheaper stuff to try and achieve the same effect. You can purchase this in most salons or online at beautyfeatures.ie.
Bioderma's Hydrabio Range
I got to try this range around a month ago after going to their launch and have been using it ever since. From the Hyrabio range I got the Micellar water, the Sérum and the Gel-Crème moisturiser. The Micellar water is one of the best around but wouldn’t particularly be included in my favourites as I prefer cleansing my face with something stronger like the Clarisonic. But it is brilliant when your face needs a refresh or you’re feeling lazy when removing your makeup. I really really love the sérum and moisturiser though as they’re light weight and feel lovely on my face. There’s nothing I hate more than face creams that feel like a layer on top of your skin. The Sérum costs €22 and the Gel-Crème €18.50 and can be bought on cloud10beauty.com.
St Moriz Exfoliating Skin Primer
I suffer from very dry skin on my legs ( I know, I know, oily scalp and dry legs, what a mix) and need to regularly exfoliate and moisturise. This exfoliator is from St Moriz’s new Advanced Pro Formula range and is just brilliant. It leaves the skin feeling silky and smells great. It’s very reasonable priced too at €6.95 and can be found in most pharmacies and Penneys.
Essence Ultra Strong Nail Hardener
Holy crap, this product has literally changed my nails. My nails are quite brittle and break easily and any nail hardener I’ve tried hasn’t really done much. I picked this up in Penneys a few months ago for approximately €2 and my nails are the longest they’ve been in forever. They feel so strong and look so healthy now. I recommend this product for anyone with weak nails or any nails, it’s just awesome!
Thomas Sabo Charm Club Forever
This is definitely my new summer scent. I’m a sucker for sweet, floral fragrances so I’m all over this perfume. It’s very light and fresh as it’s an eau de toilette so it does need to be topped up during the day but it’s light and handbag sized so that’s not a problem! This is a great day perfume when you want to smell nice but not overpower yourself or anyone else with your scent. You can buy this perfume on thomassabo.com for €27.95.
Penneys Matte Lipstick Crayon
My go to lip is a nude one and I’m always on the look out for a nice nude lip product. I picked this lipstick crayon up in Penneys since everyone was raving about their lip products and I had to see for myself what all the fuss was about. I love this product for its creamy and long wearing formula and it doesn’t make your lips feel dry like a lot of matte products. My new favourite pairing is this lipstick crayon with The Balm’s Read My Lips lip gloss in “Snap!”. You can get this in Penneys (obviously) for 2.50.
So there you are, my current beauty favourites! What have you been loving recently and have you tried any of these products before?
*I received or was sent some of these products but in no way was my opinion swayed and all are still my own 🙂
