Step Into Fall

Letting go of summer and layering up for fall

I’ll be the first to admit. I’m a true summer baby. Everything about the sunny weather just suits my soul. As the weather gets colder, I find it hard to give 100%. Whether it’s my energy levels or something as simple as dressing myself. I automatically want to find the biggest, warmest, comfiest blanket and wrap myself in it.

This year, I’m trying harder to make an effort dressing for the fall. So knowing this, I shot an outfit suitable for the season. NA-KD Fashion and I have teamed up once again to show off some of their awesome collection. The pieces I chose look great together or as statement pieces on their own.

First is this HUGE coat. I’ve wanted a black coat for a while and this one’s looped belt caught my eye. It’s slightly longer than I thought but I gotta admit, I feel pretty badass walking around with it swaying in the wind behind me.

Fall fashion tip no 1: Finish off a bomb outfit with an equally bomb coat. Don’t let the outfit down with throwing something meh on top.

Then are these awesome paper bag waist denim pants. I’m obsessed with pants that have a paper bag waist but I’d never seen them in denim before. Obviously, I had to have them. These pants are so cool and definitely do the talking. Pair them as I did with a plain white tee or, for extra street cred, a slogan tee.

Fall fashion tip no 2: Pants that have a straight leg give your body a lovely silhouette when paired with oversized layers.

Under my coat, I went for a classic plaid blazer. Everyone needs a good blazer, or ten, in their wardrobe. They’re just one of those pieces that look great either dressed down or up.

Fall fashion tip no 3: I like to go slightly oversized with my blazers. They look great with something fitted underneath.

Let me know, what’s your top fashion tips for the fall?
