I’m just back from a weekend in Cork as I was attending the #corkblogmeet15 arranged by the fabulous Zoë from Zoë with Umlauts! Before I tell you all about the day, I have to say fair play to Zoë, as the day was amazing and so well planned! I tip my imaginary hat to you!
First on the agenda was a trip to Debenhams on Patrick St. We were led up to a private room filled with goodie bags and a fabulous brunch display featuring pastries and prosecco! My kind of meal! I couldn’t believe how generous the ladies at Debenhams were! The girls and I were absolutely spoiled and I can’t thank them enough! I even won a spot prize in a raffle they organised!
We were told about all the latest SS’15 perfumes ( my favourite was Dolce by Dolce and Gabbana!) and then led downstairs to the cosmetic stands. The ladies from Urban Decay, Estee Lauder and Clarins gave us the low down on all their new products! My favourite was Urban Decay’s new Naked Skin concealer, so much so I even bought one, along with their Naked Skin foundation! ( Expect a review! ) We were also presented with a few goodies to to take away from each stand! Delighted! Next up was the Body Shop!
Again, we were present with a goodie bag (told you we were spoiled!) and given the chance to make use of their in-store threading service! As my eyebrows were already done, I opted for a top lip threading. I obviously don’t have a tache but as many girls I do have one or two annoying hairs that I usually pluck. I’ve never had anything threaded before so this was a completely new experience to me! It was a tad stingy but nothing I couldn’t handle! I was amazed at how fast it was too! We were then given a makeup demo using their new SS’15 collection. Then onto our last stop, Suas roof top bar on North Main street.
The girls and I treated ourselves to a cocktail while we waited for the next event, demos from Ingot, MeMeMe and Isadora. Zoë presented us all with our very own customised tote bag full of goodies from Boots!
Rebecca from Ingot then arrived and showed us a demo using their products, which focused on contouring and highlighting. I NEED to get my hands on some of that sparkle dust! I actually modelled for that demo, so I got to take advantage of Rebecca’s awesome make up skills. MeMeMe came next and Joan and Kathleen talked us through their products and handed us each a goodie bag! I can’t wait to try their products for the first time! Lastly was Isadora, Aine displayed their newest products including their amazing contouring kit.
Unfortunately, that concluded our day, but my was it fun-filled! I had such a great day and had so much to bring home. I can’t wait till next years!!
