Darling Eats: Easy Overnight Oats

Hi everybody!

So I’m sure a lot of you, like myself, are trying to start this new year off right and eat healthier. Eating healthy is something I struggle with, not because I don’t like healthy food, I just find it takes longer to prepare and sometimes after a long day it’s just easier and more convenient to stick on a pizza.

Finding overnight oats was literally a godsend for me! I’m not a very big breakfast person and I bought oats to make porridge but I honestly don’t like it and find it very bland. 🙁 On a whim I decided to make overnight oats a few weeks ago to see if I’d like oats that way and I love it!! It honestly tastes like a dessert!

It literally takes less than 5 minutes to prepare and it’s ready to consume in the morning! My type of fast food! 😀DSC_0309

What you need:

Oats (I used instant porridge oats I already had at home, but any will do)

Granola/Cereal (To add a bit of crunch I put in some cereal I had)

Milk of your preference (I use soya milk but almond/coconut or regular milk can be used)

Fruit! I always put in a banana and some frozen berries

Jar with lid. I got mine in Tesco for €3 but if you don’t have one use a deep bowl and place clingfilm over it

Step 2: Milk

Fill the milk up to the point where the oats are submersed.

Step 4: BerriesDSC_0316

Et voila! Your overnight oats are now ready for the fridge and will be ready for you to devour in the morning!

Let me know if you try this recipe or if you have any suggestions of what I could add! 🙂DSC_0320 DSC_0321
