Sleek Makeup | My Favourite Highlighters EVER!

sleek_highlighter_1The secret weapon that’s always in my makeup bag – The Sleek Makeup Highlighting Palette

Last October, nearly a year ago now, I was given the Sleek Makeup ‘Solstice’ highlighting palette at a dinner they held and I’ve never looked back. Since then, it’s been my go to palette and even though I still love many others, I just haven’t touched them. In all honesty, it’s the best highlighter I’ve ever used and I always get complimented on it. The fact that it’s affordable and has gorgeous packaging too just seals the deal!

Last Saturday, I was kindly invited to a Sleek Blogger Brunch, where we all ate some great food and got to check out some of Sleek’s newest releases. We were all given an amazing goodie bag and to my delight, it contained two of Sleek’s new highlighting palettes!

As I love them so much, I thought it was only appropriate to write up a post on them and show everyone how great they are! I also shot some swatches so you can see how pigmented they are.

Ah, the palette that started my Sleek Makeup love affair. When I first saw Solstice I thought it was beautiful but wasn’t sure if it was very wearable. How wrong I was! The palette contains one cream and three powder highlighters. Ecliptic and Hemisphere are beautifully rose/purple toned, Subsolar is an amazing vanilla toned shadow and Equinox…  is just out of this world. Equinox is literally the only highlighter I’ve used in the past year, in fact, if you go through all my outfit shoots/posts, that’s the highlighter I’ve been wearing. It’s incredibly build-able and just makes your cheek bones pop! If you’re going to buy any palette, I would recommend this one.

Precious Metals

Another knock out palette! Precious Metals is perfect for anyone who’s a fan of cream highlighters. It contains three velvety cream formulas and one powder. Going by its namesake, this palette features colours reminiscent of metal, gold and bronze tones. These shades are not only amazing as highlighters but also as eyeshadows, which is exactly how I intend to use it! I predict this palette is going to be a bestseller for the Christmas season.

Cleopatra's Kiss

Last but not least, Cleopatra’s Kiss. This palette gives people the best of both worlds with two cream formulas and two baked powders. I have a feeling Goddess might become my new go to highlighter, it’s similar to Equinox but with rose gold undertones. Similar to Precious Metals, all of these shades would be amazing on the lids. I just love how versatile these palettes are.

The palettes range from €12.49 to €14.49 depending on where you get them and are available in a few pharmacies, like Boots, and online.

So what do you think? Have you tried these highlighters before? Also, let me know if you like this kind of post! Hope you enjoyed!
