Hope you’re enjoying the bank holiday weekend!!
You might remember a few months back I posted about starting a teeth whitening system with Smile Brilliant. You can refresh your memory here!
I used the trays for the first time on the 19th of August. All I needed to do was apply a thin line of the Teeth Whitening gel onto each tray and wear them for 1-3 hours. As it was my first time I only wore them for an hour.First Impressions: Weird!! I wasn’t expecting it but I felt quite a tingly sensation on my gums. It was a bit painful but nothing I couldn’t handle. The sorest part was actually taking the trays out. My gums weren’t used to them and they felt sensitive when I ran my tongue over them. The next day I did 10 minutes with the Desensitising Gel and it felt pretty sore putting the trays back in.
I took a few days break to let my gums rest and that was honestly a great idea! When I whitened my teeth again on the 23rd, I felt no pain! After the initial usage, I haven’t felt any pain since. I think I just needed to get used to it! I find it very hard to remember to do this every night so I usually whiten my teeth every few days, along with using the desensitising gel straight after. (This also helps lock in the treatment!)
AFTER A MONTH:
Granted the lighting’s different here, but this was more to show the white streaks that started appearing on my front teeth. This way actually my fault as I completely forgot I had cosmetic fillers on my front teeth! I chipped my front teeth a few years ago ( I bit down on a fork… dumbass) and you can’t actually whiten fillings. It’s not a big deal though cause I need to get them redone anyway.
As you can see now, my teeth are quite a bit whiter. They’re still not where I’d like them to be but I’m only half way through my gel syringes so I’m not worried! You can see that some parts are whiter than others but I’m hoping that evens out over time.
So the process is quite slow but I can notice the difference in the colour of my teeth. I think I’m going to start putting the trays in more often, maybe even once a day for a week or so to see if that makes a big difference!
