Get ready to ditch the skinnies and welcome boyfriend jeans into your life
I’ve always been a fan of skinny jeans. In fact, up until recently all my jeans were of the skinny variety. The mom and boyfriend jeans style has always intrigued me but I found it hard to find a decent pair. Flattering, a good fit and of course, not too pricey!
I was delighted when I found this pair as they ticked all my boxes. I’m especially glad that I held out on buying a more expensive pair online. I guess good things really do come to those who wait!
I found these boyfriend jeans in a Zara sale a few months back. They were a bit tight at the time, there was only a size 6 left, but they were €10! I had to make a decision and with a bit of faith that my workouts at the gym would pay off I said “feck it” and bought them! Luckily enough my workouts have been working and the jeans currently fit like a glove. I really rate Zara’s denim, I bought a pair of shorts a few years ago and they’re still good as new! Having good quality jeans that last are something everyone needs in their wardrobe. I love the distressed, grungy look these jeans have as they really add that bit of spunk to an outfit!
A White Shirt
Not sure what to wear with your boyfriend jeans? I believe that the classic denim and white shirt look never fails. It’s so effortless yet stylish at the same time. I picked this shirt up in Penneys and it’s perfect for the summer as it’s nice and light. The only problem with white shirts are the creases! I literally just ironed this shirt before I left the house and as you can see from the pictures, it creased up again. Grrr.
There’s loads of different shoe style that suit boyfriend jeans but I opted for these nude, summer sandals from Pretty Little Thing as they keep the outfit light and fresh looking. The small heel elongates your legs which is a bonus as this style of jeans can sometimes give your legs a stumpy look. Trainers like Adidas Classics would also be fab and give this outfit a more casual vibe.
I would also like to mention and thank Lidl and Dylan Bradshaw for my fab blow-dry! The day I shot this outfit I also got to preview their new hair care and beauty range. My first impression of their shampoo and conditioner was A+ as I left with my hair feeling light, clean and silky smooth. Pretty decent for products that cost less than €2!
